Language Editing

Language editing is an integral and important part to make sure that the
translated text is as close to the original as possible – and consistent in
terms of style and terminology.

All your documents are analysed and translated by me. The source text at
hand, I check terminology and content for accuracy and style and – if
necessary – will make suggestions for improvement.

Unless otherwise agreed, I will use the “track changes” feature in Microsoft
Word for including changes and comments directly in the translated text.
Thus customers or translators can accept or reject changes more easily.

Proofreading

Proofreading is the last step before delivering the final translation. In contrary
to editing, the source text will not be used as reference for the target text
(only in case of doubt or a possible mistake).

I will check the target text for grammar and spelling mistakes to ensure
correctness and coherence of the final translation version.
